Getting Here
Ochre sits directly on the main Kaza road in Shego, two kilometres from Kaza town — easy to find, however you arrive.
Two Routes In
Shimla → Rampur → Reckong Peo → Kaza → Shego. Roughly 2 days' drive with an overnight stop; the more reliable route outside peak summer.
Manali → Rohtang/Atal Tunnel → Kunzum Pass → Kaza → Shego. Roughly 8–10 hours; faster but weather-dependent and seasonal.
Ochre is 2 km south of central Kaza on the main road toward Shego — a 5-minute taxi ride or 20-minute walk.
Airports & Onward Travel
The nearest airports are Bhuntar (Kullu, ~245 km via Manali route, seasonal), Shimla (~412 km), and Chandigarh (~530 km) — all followed by a road journey of one to two days.
Shared taxis and HRTC buses run between Kaza and both Shimla and Manali in season; Ochre can help arrange a private taxi for a more comfortable, direct transfer.
